Competition Terms & Conditions — “Asset Protection Wills for Two”
Promoter: ECCLES HEDDON SOLICITORS LTD (“the Promoter”).
Platform: Facebook or LinkedIn (the “Platform”).
Campaign Period: 00:01 on 9 January 2026 to 23:59 on 30 January 2026 (UK time).
Winner Announcement: February 2026 via the Promoter’s Facebook and LinkedIn page.
1. Eligibility

Entry is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.

Employees, contractors, and representatives of the Promoter, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.

Entries must be made via Facebook or LinkedIn. Entrants must have an active Facebook account and ensure their privacy settings permit verification of entry actions.

No purchase is necessary. The competition is void where prohibited.
2. How to Enter
2.1 To enter during the Campaign Period, an entrant must:
-
(a) Follow the Promoter’s Facebook or LinkedIn page;
-
(b) Like and share at least one of the Promoter’s competition-related posts published throughout January (collectively, “Competition Posts”); and
-
(c) Optional extra entry: Tag at least five friends in a comment on any Competition Post (each qualifying comment with five unique tags earns one additional entry; limits apply—see clause 2.3).
2.2 “Competition Posts” are those published in January relating to: launch, educational posts about Asset Protection Wills, resharing reminders, and closing announcements.
2.3 Tagging limits: A maximum of three (3) extra entries per entrant may be earned through tagging (i.e., up to three separate comments each tagging at least five different friends, with no duplicates). Tags must be of real personal profiles; tagging pages or non-existent accounts will not be counted.
2.4 Automated or bulk entries, use of scripts, or entries from multiple or fake accounts are prohibited and will be disqualified.
2.5 The Promoter may require proof of eligibility and of completed entry steps (e.g., screenshots, visible activity).
3. Prize
3.1 Main Prize: Asset Protection Wills or Simple Wills (based on the Winner’s needs) for two people (e.g., a couple) prepared by the Promoter, including an initial consultation and drafting to the Promoter’s standard scope for Asset Protection Wills or Simple Wills and any associated legal documents that may be necessary.
3.2 Runner‑Up Discounts: Five (5) runners‑up will receive 10% off Asset Protection Wills or Simple Wills if booked in February 2026 (appointment scheduled and engagement confirmed by 1st March 2026.
3.3 The Prize does not include: VAT (if applicable), Land Registry fees, home or site visits outside included radius, disbursements, or ancillary documents unless stated (e.g., LPAs, property transfers). Any disbursements or costs outside of our usual retainer for this scope of work will be charged for.
3.4 Prize is non-transferable, has no cash alternative, and must be redeemed within three (3) months of winner confirmation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.5 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
4. Winner Selection & Notification
4.1 Random Draw: All valid entries received during the Campaign Period will be entered into a random draw.
4.2 The Promoter will announce the winner via the Promoter’s Facebook page and will attempt to contact the winner via Facebook Direct Message or comment reply.
4.3 If the winner does not respond within 7 calendar days of the first notification, the Promoter may select an alternative winner from the remaining valid entries.
4.4 Verification: The winner must satisfy eligibility checks and may be asked to provide ID, contact details, and confirm completion of required entry steps.
4.5 Runners-up will be contacted in the same manner and must redeem their discount by the deadline in clause 3.2.
5. Publicity & Content
5.1 By entering, entrants agree that, if they win, the Promoter may use the winner’s name, town/city, and a short story/testimonial about their experience (to the extent voluntarily provided by the winner) for promotional purposes on the Promoter’s channels (including social media, website, and printed marketing) without additional payment, subject to the winner’s statutory rights and the Entrant agrees that they will have no recourse under any Data Protection mechanisms if their name is published by the Promoter on Social Media.
5.2 Entrants must not post unlawful, offensive, or infringing content. The Promoter reserves the right to hide, remove, or disqualify entries that breach Facebook community standards or these Terms.
7. Fairness, Moderation & Disqualification
7.1 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse, disqualify, or remove any entry that:
-
(a) fails to meet eligibility or entry requirements;
-
(b) involves abusive, defamatory, or misleading conduct;
-
(c) uses multiple/fake accounts or bots; or
-
(d) otherwise breaches these Terms or the Platform’s terms.
7.2 The Promoter may moderate comments and hide/remove posts that contain sensitive personal information, legal queries requiring client-specific advice, or material unsuitable for public discussion.
8. Liability
8.1 Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter will not be responsible for:
-
(a) network failures, technical malfunctions, or Platform outages;
-
(b) lost, delayed, or unverified entries;
-
(c) any indirect or consequential loss.
8.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8.3 The prize involves regulated legal services carried out to professional standards. Advice will be given based on information provided by the winner; the Promoter is not responsible for adverse outcomes resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the winner.
9. Platform Disclaimer
9.1 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. Entrants provide information to the Promoter, not Facebook.
9.2 Entrants must comply with Facebook’s terms of use and community standards.
10. Unilateral Offer
No part of these entry requirements are to be construed as a unilateral contract constituting a guaranteed prize. Entry only offers the possibility of winning and does not guarantee it.
11. General
11.1 The Promoter may cancel, suspend, or amend the competition where necessary due to events outside its reasonable control and will post updates on the Promoter’s Facebook page.
