Michael is local to the area, living in Bishop Monkton, Ripon and has been with Eccles Heddon since July 2022.

Previously from a financial services background, Michael retrained with a law conversion and has not looked back.  Having made a positive impact within the Residential Conveyancing Team, Michael became a Trainee Solicitor in January 2024, primarily working within the firm’s Private Client and Property Departments under Oliver Riley and David Shackleton. Michael has now completed his training contract and qualified as a Solicitor at the end of 2025.

Michael has now joined our Commercial Property team as a qualified Solicitor and as well as doing some residential property work he now works alongside Oliver Riley dealing with commercial and agricultural matters.  Michael is based in our Bedale office. Michael’s proactive approach is continually praised by our clients and he prides himself on his high standards of client care and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Michael is a devotee of the local countryside and its farming heritage and will often be found at weekends on a ramble in ‘God’s Own,’ usually near Ripon or in Nidderdale.’”
