Matthew is an experienced Chartered Legal Executive in the Private Client Department at our Thirsk Office.

Since joining the firm, Matthew has worked with talented lawyers throughout the firm to gain a wealth of experience and knowledge in Private Client matters. He also has a good knowledge of Residential Conveyancing and uses these skills to assist the Conveyancing Department.

Matthew’s manages a full case load of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate as well as dealing with conveyancing matters which flow from his Private Client work. He deals with many estates which are taxable and which have high value assets.

Matthew is proud of himself and his support team due to their speed, efficiency and high quality of service – he has applied himself to ensuring he understands the systems which surround a probate matter inside out, he ensures that the administration of estates is done well and that he pays attention to detail.

Matthew is often engaged in drafting wills which incorporate tax planning and especially asset protection measures to protect his clients for the future.

Matthew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in December 2022, having attained a very high results in his academic training.

In his spare time, Matthew enjoys all things music and being an avid musician himself, he regularly takes part in Musical Theatre productions in the area.
