ABOUT DEBRA STEVENS
Debra Stevens is a specialist accredited Divorce and Family Law Solicitor, Mediator, and Collaborative Lawyer, with over 25 years’ experience supporting clients through separation, divorce, and complex family law disputes.
As Head of Family Law, Debra is known for combining strong litigation capability and her unique pragmatic approach which utilises her extensive dispute resolution skills to help clients achieve clear outcomes in matters involving complex financial settlements, children arrangements and co-habitation property disputes where Debra represented a client in a reported Court of Appeal case Liden v Burton [2016] EWCA Civ 275 (2 March 2016) which has been instrumental in shaping the landscape for those living together.

Her practice attracts clients from across the UK and internationally, often through personal recommendation.
Debra was among the first Family Lawyer Mediators in the UK, qualifying in 1997, and has conducted over 5,000 mediations for separating and divorcing couples and is a member of Resolution’s prestigious accreditation panel of expert family lawyers and family mediators is an accredited member of the Law Society Family Law Panel and has a Masters Degree in Law.
Debra is also author of How2divorce: The Handbook, and is frequently asked to contribute to leading magazines and newspapers. She has also provided commentary on radio, including the BBC, on divorce and family law issues.
Outside of work, Debra enjoys keeping fit, walking her Border Collie Billie, travelling, and spending time with her family.
