Solicitor / FILEX – 5 years PQE+ (Private Client)

We are looking for a self-starting Private Client lawyer (5 years PQE+) to join our team in North Yorkshire. We have offices in the City of Ripon and the market towns of Thirsk and Bedale. We hope that the successful candidate will be based in our Ripon office which is a beautiful Georgian building in the centre of the city with free parking.

The Private Client department is our largest department and the role will cover the full range of Private Client work including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, IHT planning, Trusts and Probates. We aim for excellent client care and have a very low rate of complaints as a result.

The ideal candidate will have gained good, solid experience in all aspects of Private Client work. The practice has a good base and reputation for servicing local clients including high net worth individuals. STEP membership would be preferred, but a candidate without STEP membership would also be sponsored by the firm to achieve this qualification.

The opportunity might suit a candidate who lives in the geographical area of the practice and is currently working in Teesside / York / Leeds / Harrogate but who wishes to work in a better environment and improve their work/life balance.

We use up to date IT including AI transcription of dictation and we have a friendly and helpful su

pport team. We offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to earn a generous bonus on fees received.  Full-time or part-time hours are possible (minimum 21 hours per week)
